Working with factories / Buyer guides

How do I request quotes from and work with a factory?

Send a complete request for quotation (RFQ) with quantities, materials, design files, Incoterm and delivery country, then manage the project through written, measured feedback and a signed off pre production sample. These guides give you a template and a step by step process for clothing, bags and footwear.

Each product category has two guides: one for writing the RFQ that gets you an accurate quote, and one for communicating with the factory from sampling to delivery. Choose your category below.

The rules that apply to every category

Put everything in writing and reference the tech pack in every message. Give quantities per style and per colour, not just a total. State an Incoterm. Expect to pay for development and samples separately, and treat the unit price as final only when the final sample is approved.

Questions before you choose

What is an RFQ in manufacturing?

A request for quotation is a written brief that gives a factory everything it needs to price your product: design files, materials, quantities, packaging, Incoterm, delivery country and dates.

Do I need a tech pack before contacting a factory?

No. A sketch, photo or AI render can start a quote, but the price will be an estimate until the specification is developed and a sample is approved.

Does Innovtex make clothing, bags and footwear?

Yes. Innovtex manufactures across China, Spain, Vietnam and Honduras, with MOQs from 50 to 100 units depending on category and material.

Where do I send my RFQ?

Email it to sales@innovtex.com or upload your design files at innovtex.com/?drop=1.

How long does production take?

For Innovtex mass production, the verified timeline is 25 to 30 days, plus about 10 days for DDP delivery to your door, customs cleared. Development and sampling time depends on the product.
