AI tech pack review checklist
An AI draft can organize a garment idea. Before it reaches a sewing line, separate supplied facts from suggestions and missing information. Use this review checklist on AI generated packs and on manually prepared files.

Next step
Turn your tech pack into a sample
Finished your tech pack, or only have an AI draft? Send it to Innovtex and we take it from file to physical sample, then to bulk production in China, Spain, Vietnam or Honduras.
- 1
Drop your tech pack
Upload the PDF, Illustrator file or images exported from your tech pack software, an AI tech pack draft or a sketch (JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, PSD or ZIP).
- 2
We review the specs
Our team checks measurements, materials and construction, flags anything missing and comes back with next steps and a quote.
- 3
Your sample is made
Patterns are made and your first physical sample is sewn, so you can approve fit, fabric and finish before bulk.
- 4
Bulk production
After approval: 50 to 100 units per style, 25 to 30 calendar days, then 10 to 15 calendar days DDP delivery to your door, customs cleared.

1. Mark every assumption
Label each field as confirmed, proposed or pending. Confirmed means supplied or approved by the brand, not merely plausible. A generated chest width, fabric composition or seam tolerance should remain proposed until reviewed.
Clothink describes an AI assisted draft workflow; Onbrand describes AI features within its platform. These are vendor capabilities, not evidence that a specific garment specification is correct.
2. Review the technical data
| Tool | Useful for | Check before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| Points of measurement | Named measurement locations, units and measurement diagrams | Numbers with no method of measuring |
| Size specification | Base size, size range and reviewed grading rules | Automatically repeated increments across unrelated dimensions |
| Fabric and trims | Composition, weight, finish, color and sourcing status | Generic fabric descriptions treated as approved materials |
| Construction | Seam types, stitch instructions and detail callouts | A render whose visible seam differs from the notes |
| Artwork and labels | Dimensions, placement reference and actual artwork files | Logos or care text invented by the model |
| Revision and approval | Dated version, change list and responsible reviewer | Several files with different specifications and no approved release |
3. Ask AI for gaps, not invented answers
A useful instruction is: “Use only the information I supplied. List missing measurements, fabric details and construction decisions as pending. Do not invent sizes, tolerances, supplier codes or certification claims.”
Have it group questions for the brand and manufacturer. Review the resulting list yourself; an omitted question is not proof that the pack is complete.
4. Check design rights and privacy
Use artwork and reference images you own or have permission to use. A photo of another brand’s garment should not be treated as permission to copy its protected artwork or design.
Review the tool’s data policies before uploading unreleased collections or supplier documents. Share only information you are authorized to disclose.
5. Close the loop with a sample
Send the reviewed pack together with a pending decisions list. Resolve the fabric, fit and construction during development, then record sample changes in the specification.
Once the physical sample is approved, freeze the matching production revision. Do not let a later AI rewrite silently replace the approved measurements or construction notes.
Questions before you choose
Should AI estimate measurements from a photo?
A photo may help communicate proportions, but perspective and scale can make estimates unreliable. Treat estimates as proposed information and obtain reviewed measurements before sampling.
Can I request a quote without a complete tech pack?
Yes. Send Innovtex your sketch, AI render or reference photo with your product description and intended quantity. The team reviews what still needs to be developed before sampling and production.
